Houston based photographer, Ali Kizginyurek, fell in love with photography when he received his first camera at the age of 13. With his new Zenith camera, he took on the role of school photo journalist and regularly posted photos on the campus bulletin board.
Ali’s first professional shoot was for a local wedding, but he was rusty and the photos didn’t turn out so great. The couple’s legs were so bright and their faces, so dark. Learning from his experiences, Ali continued to perfect his art. Soon after, Ali was working as a photographer for a National newspaper. He continued to work there from age 14 -18.
When Ali was 19 he looked toward expanding his photography portfolio by booking his first commercial fashion photo shoot. His friends were modeling and helped him secure the booking. The photo shoot was so successful that he started to receive numerous requests from different fashion companies. Ali’s professional fashion photography and commercial career grew from that first fashion shoot. From 1997-2013, Ali was based in Istanbul and had his photography from fashion advertising, shows, and paparazzi shots published in hundreds of magazines all over the world.
Ali moved to Houston in 2014 and quickly jumped into the local market through wedding photography. By the end of 2016, Elio photography was opened. Elio photography captures memories and moments in photography for weddings, engagements, maternity, boudoir, and editorial style portrait photo sessions; and accepts requests for various photography needs.
